I used to sing this song all the time. I was sitting around a piano bar one night where you could make requests that you would sing to. Kinda like early Karaoke. I sang this song and the guy next to me introduced himself as the lyricist who wrote the song, Jack Hammer. I told him to my friend later and she said, yes, that's him. He raped me. I was made aware of the dark side of the music industry early on, and yet I plowed on.
